Construction Begins at Corinthian Hall this Spring

The City of Kansas City, Missouri will begin work this spring to replace all the exterior windows and doors on historic Corinthian Hall, home of the Kansas City Museum. The Natural History Hall (originally the Carriage House) will also be renovated. To accommodate this construction project, the Kansas City Museum is making changes to its programming and exhibit lineup.

The Museum is maintaining its regular operating hours of 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Corinthian Hall and the Natural History Hall are currently closed to the public. Occasional hard hat tours will be offered in Corinthian Hall, so the public can see the progress.

Visitors to the Kansas City Museum site should check in at the new temporary Visitors Center and Gift Shop located north of the Natural History Hall.

An outdoor panel exhibit on the history of the R.A. Long family will open this spring at the site’s periphery.

Several events and programs will be offered at other locations in the Northeast community.

Follow the links on the left to see a schedule of events for events hosted on the museum site and at other locations, including Family Fun Day the first Sunday of every month and the Community Curator Series on the third Sunday.
